Dexter Holland, a leader of punk rock band The Offspring, has recently written on the official journal that the band is working hard on a new (eight) studio album. Dexter emphasizes that everyone is doing their best to make songs sound really good. In his opinion a couple of finished songs sound 'like a friggin‘ freight train'. Is that true? We’ll find out maybe in a month – Holland ensures that they are 'trying to get finished recording in the next month or so'. We hope Dexter will keep his word.Interesting is the fact that the group began recording the disc last fall with producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Lostprophets) helming the sessions. Maybe this will bring some fresh air to Offspring’s music...
