Dexter Holland, the former of punk rock music legend The Offspring wrote in his Journal some news about recording their new album. Making new album takes them ages to finish, after releasing "Splinter" in 2003, they made "The Greatest Hits" on which they didn't worked too much except recording one new song and a cover of The Police - "Next To You". Dexter should be doing more on their album and less on promoting japanesee popshit "stars",or his own hot sauce Gingo Bandito . He wrote that they are currently recorded new 13 tracks but he still doesn't know if all of them you'll be able to find on CD. We still know nothing also about release date of new album, I think that it might be 2008 in fact that progress of recording is damn slow. "Well let‘s see what‘s new? Still working on the record over here. Most of the music is recorded and we‘re working on vocals now. We counted up the other day, we actually demo‘d 23 songs for this CD. Wow! That‘s a new record for us. Of those we‘ve recorded 13. Will they all be on the album? I don‘t know! We‘ll see how they turn out. Maybe we‘ll cut one, or maybe we‘ll write a couple more. Because we‘re artists we‘re flaky like that.
What else – looking forward to playing in Japan in August…you guys going? We‘ve played the Summer Sonic festival before, it‘s a great time and a great crowd. And, I wouldn‘t be surprised if there was a third show added….
We have a new guy helping us out on the web side of things, so look for some changes happening on our website, and check out the www.myspace.com/offspringofficial too…he might even help us to update more often. Then again.."
