Serj Tankian, famous vocalist of metal band System Of A Down, recorded his first solo album - "Elect The Dead", released under his own label Serjical Strike. This album is not a piece of System Of A Down music, this is something more... fantastic fresh look on music. "Elect The Dead" proves that Tankian is great songwriter, impressive songs like "Baby" or "Saving Us" are only a few excellent songs of the whole record. Quite interesting may be fact that Serj Tankian is going to make videoclips to each song of (standard edition) album. Currently after debut "The Unthinking Majority" single and "Empty Walls" he's going to release third cip to "Saving Us". You can love or hate Serj Tankian unique voice, music, lyrics, but you should listen to this album! |

Long awaited Seether album "Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces" (released at the end of October) is the third major studio album of this South African band. You can wonder if buying new Seether CD will be a good choice, but if you don't want to be dissapointed - don't buy it. We used to to fact that band is keeping their good style and that all of Seether CD's were excellent part of rock music, but not this time. Shaun Morgan wrote 13 songs for the album, from which (in oppose to previous records) nearly half of songs are rock ballads, unfortunately most of them with average riffs and poor lyrics which negatively affected new album. "Fake It" is the one of two songs on whole record that you'd enjoy, solid bass and drums and quite different style from other songs ever released by Seether. In summary we can rate this only as an average CD, we expected to hear much more good music. |
